Description
This position will greet and assist members and visitors, answer questions, answer the phone, and assist in room preparation for activities as required. Ensures compliance with capacity, health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Part time: 12 to 15 hours per week
$15.75 per hour
- Welcomes all members and visitors
- Checks in members as required
- Assists members with My Senior Center, registration, kiosk use and My Active accounts
- Coordinates all phone and in-person class and activity reservations to ensure participant satisfaction
- Monitors rooms via camera at front desk and walking the building
- Ensures Silver Sneakers information is entered and updated
- Provides clerical support including mail, filing, data entry and signage
- Provides general information regarding Recreation, Community Programs and room rentals
- Assists staff with monthly newsletter distribution to members
- Ensures group size and room capacities stay within posted room limits.
- Assists with room set up as necessary for events and activities
- Provides tours
- Conducts fitness room orientations
- Provides guidance to volunteers
- Assists with weekly frozen meal distribution (packing food items and distributing to participants)
- Assists with room set up and facilitates classes, activities and events (as needed)
- Responsible for compliance with all health and safety requirements
Qualifications
Experience with Word, Excel with ability to learn programs specific to the community center.
Must have friendly disposition.
Must be able to multi-task.
Must have good organizational skills.
