Beginning February 1, 2016 the Town of Orchard Park will be entering into a five (5) year contract with Waste Management. Most of the current method of trash pickup will remain the same. The most significant change is to the recycling.
Recycling will be on an everyother week schedule and each resident of the Town of Orchard Park will recieve a 65 gallon recycling wheeled cart.
WASTE MANAGEMENT USES SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING
Single Stream recycling is the latest technology that provides many benefits to the storing, collecting and processing of recyclable material.
Residents will enjoy an expanded list of acceptable items for recycling and a simpler program because less material preparation is required such as sorting and sizing. Glass, plastic, metal, paper and cardboard can be co-mingled into one bin.
